Excel V
The Excel V treatment is a state-of-the-art laser treatment that can treat a variety of vascular conditions. The laser uses a unique high-power green laser to precisely treat abnormal blood vessels and pigment in the skin. As these vessels or pigment cells are targeted, they are eliminated and skin is returned to its natural colour and tone. Excel V is can be altered to be compatible with each patient’s skin condition. Since the Excel V has a longer wavelength than other lasers (1064nm) it can target purple leg veins, periorbital blue veins and deeper vascular structures. Its advanced design cools before, during and after each pulse which provides the highest level of control, comfort, and safety.
How does it work?
Utilizing specific, medical-grade wavelengths, the Excel V™ laser (532nm and Nd:YAG) targets and coagulates unwanted vessels. Depending on the treatment area, vessels may darken before clearing over the following 8 to 12 weeks. Stubborn areas, like the nose or legs, may require 2 to 3 treatments, while other concerns, like facial flushing and angiomas, may clear instantly. Excel V™ laser also helps manage the symptoms of rosacea. Commonly associated with chronic flushing of the cheeks, nose and chin, rosacea is a progressive condition that can be difficult to treat. Excel V™ laser helps reduce and manage the symptoms of rosacea.
